The Who - “Quadrophenia”
There is without a doubt a level of genius that goes into creating a concept album let alone a rock opera. The Who, largely because of Pete Townshend, were able to create two. Being a fan of Tommy, I decided to try and listen to their second concept album. This album never really caught fire with me. I find it to be there most challenging album. I do enjoy the song “Love, Reign O’er Me” which is an epic and emotional song. I first heard this song while watching the movie Reign Over Me. The album is a double gatefold 2LP that includes a long first person story from the main character on the inside.
