I regret not seeing greatness in The White Stripes earlier. I partially blame this on their noisy introduction and their heavy artistic reliance on three colors (which now seems to have a genius to it). I purchased this a couple months before the announced their break-up. It’s fitting since it’s my only record I own. It’s a heavy double gatefold with 2 180 gram vinyl LPs with some neat attributes. “Side Wan” includes an inscribing of “Veggie Tray” while “Side Deux” says “Beret And Baguette Bang- Bang”. The other two sides of the second LP are inscribed with “Chew Raw Caribou” and “Who’s Screeched-In? We Were Playing Bingo”. The album serves as perfect bookend to an amazing career. I’m sure I’ll find my way to other their studio albums in the future.
