Van Halen - “Van Halen”
This should be everyone’s first Van Halen album. It’s there first and best. It was their most definitive. The cover of The Kink’s “You Really Got Me” and “Running With The Devil” could have made this a classic alone. But Eddie Van Halen’s wrote himself into the history books 10 songs into their career with “Eruption”. His playing had not been done before. I can only imagine what it must have sounded like hearing someone play like that for the first time. The album contains the original album sleeve in which I got from Half- Price Books.
