George Thorogood & The Destroyers - “Maverick”

“I Drink Alone” is the sound of George Thorogood solidifying his blues guitar legacy. The Destroyer’s sound is beefed up with their saxophone player. This album was purchased at Phil’s Records in Northern Kentucky (not sure if they are still open). There are a few covers from Johnny Otis, Fats Domino, Carl Perkins, John Lee Hooker, Chuck Berry, and more. Some of these covers are excellent while others are out-shadowed by his original works.
